It's a good opening for an arthouse drama about a Midwestern motorcycle club, except that « The Bikeriders » had a relatively modest production budget of $35 million.

Disney originally planned to release « The Bikeriders » in theaters in 2023, but those plans were put on hold due to the actors' strike. After parting ways with Disney, the film's backer New Regency brought the film to Focus Features. Critics seem to love « The Bikeriders » more than audiences; It received an 82% on Rotten Tomatoes and a « B » grade on CinemaScore.

« The Exorcism » landed ahead of June Squibb's action-adventure « Thelma, » which grossed $2.2 million from 1,290 theaters. Magnolia is releasing the well-reviewed film, which stars nonagenarian Squibb as a 93-year-old woman who gets caught by a phone scammer and gets back what was taken from her.
