It follows her poor debate performance and a series of verbal gaffes against former President Donald Trump.

Can President Kamala Harris serve more than two terms?
If Vice President Kamala Harris takes over the White House now, she could serve two more terms in office. The 22nd Amendment allows a president to run for two additional terms less than two years into the previous president's term, meaning Harris could serve nearly ten years as president if he wins the 2024 and 2028 elections.
But if he were Biden's running mate and he left the race in favor of him, Harris would be eligible for only two terms.
